PaceTrack — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 September 2026

PaceTrack is a step tracker for iPhone. This policy describes what the app does with your information. It is short because the app does very little.

Health and fitness data

PaceTrack reads the following from Apple Health, with your permission:

This data never leaves your device. It is read from Apple Health, stored only in PaceTrack's own container on your iPhone so the app and its widget can show the same figures, and displayed to you. It is not transmitted to us, to any server, or to any third party.

We do not operate a server. There is nowhere for your health data to be sent.

PaceTrack requests read-only access. It never writes to Apple Health.

Your health and fitness data is never used for advertising and is never shared with advertisers or data brokers. This is both our policy and a requirement of Apple's App Store Review Guidelines.

You can review or revoke PaceTrack's access at any time in Health › Sharing › Apps › PaceTrack.

Advertising

The free version of PaceTrack displays one banner advertisement, supplied by Google AdMob. Displaying it requires a network request to Google.

PaceTrack does not use cookies to track you, and shows no cookie or tracking consent prompt. There is nothing to consent to: no advertising identifier is read, no personalised advert is ever requested, and no data is linked to you across other apps or websites.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, no advertisement is requested at all.

Purchasing Remove Ads stops all of this: no advert is requested, and no ad network is contacted.

Purchases

Remove Ads is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple. PaceTrack never sees or stores your payment details, billing address, or Apple Account information. We receive only Apple's confirmation that the purchase is valid for the device.

What we do not do

Children

PaceTrack is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Because PaceTrack keeps your data on your own device and we hold none of it, there is no account to access, export, or delete. Deleting the app removes everything it stored. For data Google may hold as an advertising partner, see their policy linked above.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated and the revised version will be published at this address.
